Hi, I'm Alex. I found this board via the main Proboards Support forum and I thought I'd join because this looks to be the sort of board I'm after.
I'm 20 years old and I do a Philosophy degree at Southampton University in the UK. I'm originally from Somerset in the South-West of England which is rather a dull, muddy area of the world.

I am majorly impressed that you have a !PHILOSOPHY DEGREE!, that is very cool, and I am working at obtaining one once I hit college. (I'm a sophomore in high school right now)

*laughs*, well please, good luck with getting one. We do both know, that is not where the money is at. People nowadays can not appreciate philosophical insights like they have in the past. I can not wait to participate in some debates with you (especially philosophy ones). If you want, you can start as many philosophy debates that you can think of; I will reply to them all. People see value in terms of money, thus they disparage philosophy and other such practices as valueless as it tends not to be a money maker. I can understand the attraction of money, but I find it a bit dull itself and the lengths one has to go to to get it really isn't appealing.
